The Sure Tech Fetal Hemoglobin testing kit comes in three sizes. Each kit includes the Red Cell Fixing Solution, Citrate-Phosphate Buffer, and Hemoglobin Staining Solution. The test is stored and run at room temperature. This kit has an 18 month out date. Reagents may also be purchased individually in 120 mL or 500 mL sizes.

FETALtrol Fetal Hemoglobin Controls manufactured by Trillium Diagnostics. Each set includes three levels of controls and two vials of each level. These whole blood controls are stored refrigerated and have a 90 day out date. They are manufactured quarterly in January, April, July and October. We recommend setting up a standing order.
The Kleihauer Betke Reference Manual is an excellent training manual. It features 20 case studies with full color photos of actual slides. Every lab should have this book in their reference library.
